Josh The Person

Besides being the nerdy Excel guy, I do other stuff, too:

College Hoops Fan – I’m a big college basketball fanatic, go Hoosiers!

Plays Sports – I enjoy my feeble attempts at playing basketball, and am still slowly but surely learning the game. In a pinch, I’ll take volleyball, or any sport with a ball, really, and lately disc golf also.

Fishers, Indiana Resident – I live in the walkable Nickel Plate District of downtown Fishers, Indiana, a suburb of Indianapolis.  When my family moved to town in 1988, The Nickel Plate was just a bar in a tiny town, but now it’s a whole district in what is technically a city.

Adventurer – After growing up in Indiana, I’ve lived in four other states, including Las Vegas, NV, south Florida, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Arlington, Virginia. I wasn’t sure where I wanted to live next, so I hotel hopped in nineteen northern and eastern states for nine months, before realizing I was ready to back home . Glacier National Park was my favorite of the National Parks so far.

Live Music Fan – I’ve been lucky enough to see Billy Strings eighteen times in ten different cities in eight states plus DC. And counting! Once my ears hear a bluegrass or jam band tune, my dancing feet just kind of take over. A favorite music venue is the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY. Still haven’t made it to Red Rocks in Colorado, but it’s on the list!

Nerdy Games – I enjoy, despite often not being very good at, nerdy strategy games such as Scrabble, Hearts, Spades, Carcassonne, Connect 4, poker…

Many Siblings – I am the oldest of six and am lucky enough to have over a dozen nieces and nephews. As of now, I’m single with no kids, but who knows what the future may hold.
